I’m a maker at heart and love the messy, intricate process of transforming blunt metal into shimmering objects to wear. I strive to illustrate that process in my designs, combining dark, raw and precious elements. My inspiration comes from the Scandinavian devotion to craftsmanship, design and quality that I know from my upbringing in Copenhagen, and the natural beauty and vitality of California where I live now. All Monica Riley jewelry is handcrafted in my California studio and adheres to high standards of environmental responsibility.

Monica’s designs can be purchased online through her website and at select stores in Denmark, the United States and Canada. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband, sons, dog and cat.
